Today we didn't have a school day. We went to the doctor this morning and M got his second Hpv shot. Then M and C got the flu mist. G and R got their flu shots as they have asthma. We are now at the dentist office for M, G, and R. They have cavities to get filled and possibly M will get a tooth or 2 pulled. We did worksheets yesterday with a turkey theme for school. We will school tomorrow and Friday. We will school Monday and probably Wednesday next week and then be on break for 2 weeks. School for 3 weeks till Christmas week and off again for 2 weeks.
My oldest G and my Webelos will be camping this weekend. My husband M will be going with them.

Trying my hand at blogging again
I have tried blogging in the past and felt this desire to start writing again. I felt like this for about 2 weeks now. I have been home schooling all four of my kids for 2 years now. We started back in Aug of 2012. We shortly about a month later moved from our place in Bracey VA, to my mom and dads in NC. We spent six months there and schooled the best we could in a trailer that was made for 5 people not 10. We moved 6 months after we lived with my parents. 3 moves in 6 months was a lot at that time and we still managed to school for most of it.
We moved into the new house, we rent and we moved in in March, We got settled very quickly. I had the Internet up and running by the 4th day that we here. We were using Easy Peasy All in One Home-school at the time and need the Internet to do our school work. We have since moved on and began a very eclectic mix of items. We use math from a website that I found has free textbooks to print( waiting to get real math workbooks for them). We use Easy Grammar for the older 3 and my girl is using Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons. We are taking a break from the reading as she is not interested or ready right now. We use lapbooks and unit studies to fill in the rest as we have time.
We are in scouting. I have a Daisy scout. Cheyenne is in her first year of scouting, She has earned patches for selling at her fall fundraising and she has earned her center and petals for her daisy.
Ranger is my wolf cub scout. This is his second year of scouts, he earned his bobcat in 2 weeks. We are able to get more belt loops and awards done with homeschooling, as I can pull them in to make them work. Now when the Cub scouts change in May,He has earned his Citizenship belt loop and is almost done with his pin of it, he has earned his Reading and Writing belt loop and is working in his pin for it. I have heard that extra belt loops are not going to be available and that they will be added into the Adventures. That stinks, hopefully there will be things that we can still work on at home. Mac is a Webelos 1. He has been working on his Citizen pin. He has earned his Citizenship belt loop and is almost done with his pin of it, he has earned his Reading and Writing belt loop and is working in his pin for it. Griffin is my oldest and he is in Boy Scouts, He has earned his Scout patch and is working towards his Tenderfoot, he has earned his engineering merit badge.
This is my life. Homeschooling my kids, raising them to be great scouts and be productive well mannered people in this world. So far I think that I am doing a good job. Enjoy our adventures and thanks for following along.
